SEVEN SACRED POOLS – PLAN & PRIORITIZE YOUR LIFE.

Hey there,
I promised to share every step of my journey with you, here is today’s. Don’t forget your diary and pen!

Reading Chapter 19 of A Woman After God’s own heart by Elizabeth George, opened me up to more than I expected. Apart from being a guide for women who want to grow spiritually, it highlighted a few of the most important things we need to do to make our lives better and Planning & Setting Priorities is one.

The Seven Sacred Pools
The seven sacred pools, is a beautiful sight to behold even though I have not seen it with my bare eyes I can testify from what I have seen in photos. It is indeed a work of art!!!!

Beyond the beauty.
Far from that, there is a lot the seven sacred pools communicate to us. The pool flows beautifully flows from pool one to the other in other words when each pools is full it overflows into the next till the last. How can we apply this in our lives?

What are Priorities?
Priorities are things that are seen as more important than others. What do you Prioritize? What is most Important to you?

How can you apply the art of the Seven Sacred Pools in your life?

  1. Set Goals
What do you want to achieve by the end of this month or week or day? Write them down.
  2. Plan out your month/ week / day.
List the activities you want to take leaving nothing out.
  3. Arrange them in order of importance.
Arrange them In order putting the most important thing first. Weight them and priotize them to suit your goals.
Like the 7 sacred pools overflow into each other, Arrange your activities in a way that one leads to the other
For example read your notes 》assignments. This means that if you have not read your notes, you will not be able to do your assignments. Allow your activities to flow into each other that way, you are maximizing time and energy.
  4. Do not stop till you are done. The water does not stop flowing when it gets to the third or 4th pool it continues till the last. Do not get tired or do not give up in the middle of the way. Once you have started you must finish it.
  5. Repeat this daily
There is no single day that you will not see water overflowing from pool 1 to 2. It’s always busy. It is easier to reach your goals when you prioritize and plan your life well. Make it a habit repeat it daily.

Before you take a decision
Depending on the decision you have to take draw out a rating plan accordingly maybe it’s a date.
Do you have very important things to do at the time?
Do you have time to spare?
Do you have what you need to go?
Do you really want to go?
Will it be favorable?

Think through carefully, remember you have a plan for the day. Does it fit in ?
If not don’t force it. Learn to say No (a topic for another day) and plan for it another time. It’s okay to take random breaks but be sure it will not cost you much. Try to fit it into your priority list
If it fits why not go for it!
Some of these things have to be done on the spot it is okay to ask for sometime to think about it

Before you Speak
There is a famous quote “Before you speak think, and think again”. Don’t just let out anything that comes to mind
Think through
Is it necessary?
Is it worth it?

PS: Your list must not necessarily be seven it may be less or even more the point it it must be well planned and prioritized so you don’t find yourself doing too many important things at a time or too many unnecessary things at a time.

Remember Nothing is easy, Determination and Consistency does the magic!.
